About Us
Introducing Paul Timms - HABiT Home and Building Inspector
My ambition is to make life easier when purchasing or selling a home. There are always going to be bits and pieces picked up through my inspections, but if I can talk with my clients and work through the whole process with them I can put their mind at ease. By this, I mean I will help solves the problems identified, give advice on how to move forward and point my clients in the right direction, such as getting other trades involved, quotes or estimates to help with getting an end result which everybody is happy with.
I have lived in Hawkes Bay all of my life except three years living in Australia in the early 80s. I have mostly worked on residential properties including new builds and alterations. I have experience with older style homes and also architecturally designed houses.
I live with my wife Glenda in Havelock North and have two adult children living in Australia. In the weekends, I find time to play golf weekly on a Sunday after working on the house on a Saturday.
I am enjoying doing building inspections as a change of lifestyle, getting off the tools, meeting new people everyday, inspecting all sorts of different homes and helping people through what can sometimes be a daunting process.
